The Sinar Mas Plaza is the flagship of the Sinar Mas Center, a multi-purpose complex consisting of three towers, overlooking the Huangpu River in front of Shanghai's renowned Bund district. The complex of more than 400,000 sqm includes the first Chinese W-branded hotel and a range of trendy commercial realities. At 320 meters high, the Sinar Mas Plaza is the tallest tower of the complex. The design of the complex followed a holistic philosophy that takes into account the site, energy, materials, interior environment and natural resources, with the aim of achieving maximum value in terms of operating costs, energy efficiency and environmental impact.
Nice was selected by the project developer, Sinar Mas Group, as a trusted partner for the automation of the solar shading of the Sinar Mas Plaza tower. The installation consists in 7,800 units of elero JA 06 Soft venetian blind motors, the group's German brand specialized in solar shading solutions and control systems.
The range of elero JA motors for the automation of interior and venetian blinds is the ideal solution to manage natural lighting and improve living comfort inside buildings, ensuring adequate light diffusion and at the same time promoting thermal insulation.
The high-quality level of the elero JA Soft model makes it particularly suitable for large surfaces: the soft integrated braking system, silent and not subject to wear, prevents annoying noises when starting and stopping the automation. With the aid of a simple and practical remote control, it is also possible to precisely set the slat inclination of the Venetian blind to achieve perfect light diffusion.
